This is where I document my projects. Explaining helps me learn (plus I love connecting with people). I work primarily on my own vehicles/projects. This lets me understand systems and experiment freely. As a Mechatronics tech I’m all about solving problems that don’t have obvious answers, diving deep into issues instead of throwing parts at it. How I do it? By combining systematic diagnosis with custom solutions, often involving CAD/3D printing, as well as designing electronics to replace faulty factory components.
This car came with manual windows from factory. At some point in its life they converted the passenger side to power window. However it did not last long due to improper installation. One of the pop-up headlights was not deploying or retracting due to fried logic in the RTR Control Unit (a proprietary Toyota chip). Temporary manual control was achieved (by the use of a bypass momentary switch). A programmable ATtiny microcontroller is proposed as a permanent fix.

This is a quick tool I whiped up in cad. I was trying to repair the seatbelt winding springs on the Celica when one got unwound. I tried to wind it by hand and was rewarder with cuts on my hands and no results. I have been trying to wind it manualy for half an hour (unsuccessfully). With this tool I was able to do it in 5min without feeling I am defusing a timed bomb.

I was cleaning out my girlfriends room and found an old Korg SAS-20 vintage synth. It belonged to her father. It had great sentimental value to him as it was a gift from an ex relationship of his. He wanted to restore it and learn to play but he never got around to it. He was a very busy person and I was looking up to him. He was basically a genius to me and others. He used to have a company that designed and built cellphones for rich bussinessmen before mobile phones were a thing in Greece. Enough about the backstory though, lets get to the project.
